Since moving to Canada from the UK in year 2001 and having attained a National Diploma in Studio Ceramics, Gail has exhibited in many small towns in the Kawarthas including, Peterborough and then Toronto. Always diversing with colour, texture and form predominantly with functional ware. Recently she has aspired to work more in figurative clay sculpture. Gail has been teaching pottery and sculpture from her studio/workshop for the past twenty years. Putting down the tools now from functional pottery has become a thrill to see what transpires from conception to completion with all its complexities in stature, balance & form. Playing with various finishes, glazes, simple polish, to diverse animal hair embellishments on white slip.
